Backing the ongoing land registration processes,communities from Marsabit, Isiolo, Laikipia and Samburu met on a interactive session to discuss their successes and challenges on securing their communally owned land ,three of the communities have successfully transited to community lands and have acquired title deeds .
Some of the common challenges that cut across all this communities are gender disparity,boundary conflicts and land grabbing ,lack of funds,land diversity,lack of awareness,expensive registration and election process.
IMPACT is playing a major role in helping this communities by creating awareness among them on why its important to transit to community lands ,educating them on the requirements of the community land act among them being inclusion of women and people living with disabilities,helping them create their by-laws and supporting them on the election and registration processes among others.
